Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about at-home ketamine therapy with Mind Ease.

What is at-home ketamine therapy?
At-home ketamine therapy is a medically supervised treatment where prescribed ketamine is delivered to your home, combined with telehealth consultations and ongoing clinical support. It offers the same evidence-based benefits as clinic-based ketamine therapy with the comfort and privacy of your own space.
Is this legal and safe?
Yes. All treatment is prescribed and overseen by licensed physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners. Ketamine has been used clinically for decades and is FDA-approved as an anesthetic. Its off-label use for depression, PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain is supported by extensive medical research and practiced by clinicians nationwide.
Who is eligible for treatment?
Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive medical evaluation conducted via telehealth. Generally, adults experiencing treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, or certain chronic pain conditions may qualify. Our clinicians review your medical history, current medications, and mental health status to ensure ketamine therapy is appropriate and safe for you.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is required. Our licensed clinicians conduct their own medical evaluation and, if appropriate, prescribe treatment directly. However, we do encourage coordination with your existing mental health or primary care provider for continuity of care.
What conditions do you treat?
We focus on treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma-related conditions, bipolar disorder, insomnia and sleep disorders, OCD, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and acute and chronic pain conditions. Our licensed clinicians evaluate each patient individually to determine if ketamine therapy is appropriate. Please note: ketamine is not FDA-approved for these conditions — its use is off-label and based on clinical evidence. If you are in active suicidal crisis, please call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.
How does the treatment work?
The process begins with a telehealth medical evaluation. If prescribed, your personalized ketamine treatment is delivered discreetly to your door. You take the medication as directed in a safe, comfortable setting at home, with ongoing clinical support and regular follow-up consultations to monitor progress and adjust your plan.
Is this covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. While some insurers cover ketamine therapy, many consider it an off-label treatment and do not provide coverage. We are actively working to expand insurance partnerships and will provide guidance on reimbursement options and flexible payment plans.
Which states will you serve?
